Support from Enrollment Through Graduation

We are committed
to helping you succeed.

Golden Gate University takes great pride in its track record of student achievement. Student success stems from a host of factors — small class sizes, seasoned instructors, top-notch academic advising, career development resources, and a personalized course of study — among others. GGU works one-on-one with every student to develop a customized plan to address their unique needs.

As a university, we are constantly striving to provide an education for our students that will keep them engaged as well as prepare them for careers in their field. Our high graduation and retention rates demonstrate that our programs engage learners from all levels — keeping them on the path to graduation.

Regardless of whether students are in a full-time program, or taking just one or two classes in the evening after work, or online, we strive to find a course of study to help students succeed.

Along with a world-class education, you’ll gain access to a vibrant GGU community while you’re a student and after you graduate. The GGU community has one common thread: the hard work and perseverance it takes to attend classes as working adults.

Tutoring Services

At GGU, we strive to help students reach their highest potential by providing free tutoring to current GGU students.

Math Tutoring

Free math tutoring is available to all GGU students. Students work one-on-one with the math tutor, via Zoom, for help with all GGU math classes and math testing. Many students are returning students, or haven’t taken a math class within the last few years, or express a fear of numbers–tutors can help students move beyond these fears. Most importantly, the tutors can help students develop the quantitative analysis skills necessary for future success.

Current students can learn more about math tutoring through the GGU4You student portal.

Writing Tutoring

GGU offers free tutoring for all students who want feedback and guidance on their writing. Professional tutors work with students in all subjects and disciplines, either via Zoom or the OWL (Online Writing Lab). Students can submit work to the OWL 24 hours/ a day, 7 days a week and will receive feedback on their writing within 24-48 hours of submission. Tutors also offer daily Zoom sessions for one-on-one tutoring.
