David J. Fike, PhD
President
David J. Fike, PhD became the seventh President of Golden Gate University in August 2015. Formerly the president of Marygrove College, Dr. Fike has held several leadership positions at higher education institutions and has worked as an economist specializing in areas such as socially responsible investing, economic revitalization, and community development.

Bruce Magid, PhD
Provost
Vice President of Academic Affairs
Dr. Magid brings a strong blend of business and academic experience to Golden Gate University. Along with over 20 years of experience leading international economic and policy research at Bank of America, he has held numerous leadership positions in the higher education sector.

Courtney Borton
Chief of Marketing
Vice Provost of Marketing & Enrollment Management
Courtney Borton has spent over 15 years developing engaging and complex integrated go-to-market strategies, with over 12 years dedicated specifically to higher education. During her tenure, Courtney has worked with over 50 universities nationally and internationally to develop marketing and enrollment strategies.

Joaquin “Jay” Gonzalez

Vice Provost for Global Affairs
Mayor George Christopher Professor of Public Administration
A GGU faculty member since 2000, Jay Gonzalez is Vice Provost for Global Affairs and Dean of GGU Worldwide. Prof Jay, as he is fondly referred to by students globally, is also Mayor George Christopher Professor of Public Administration and Chair of GGU’s Department of Public Administration—the oldest Public Administration program in Northern California.

Patricia A. Haney, PhD
Dean of Students
Patricia A. Haney has had an extensive career in higher education, having worked in chief student affairs officer and other administrative positions at a variety of institutions throughout the United States.

Rocco Lamanna

Rocco Lamanna is Associate Vice Provost for Academic Affairs, and Executive Director for the Braden School of Taxation and School of Accounting.

Nate Hinerman, PhD, LMFT
Dean, School of Undergraduate Studies
Professor and Department Chair of Psychology
Dr. Hinerman brings extensive teaching, research, and leadership experience to GGU. His multi- and inter-disciplinary research has been published in multiple books and journals, and he is an active volunteer and psychotherapist for several organizations in the Bay Area.

Henry W. Taylor
Vice President of University Advancement
Henry W. Taylor has served as the Vice President for University Advancement at Golden Gate University since September 2021. He leads the Division of University Advancement (UA) including the Offices of Advancement Communications, Alumni Engagement, Annual Giving, Development and Advancement Services.

Mark Yates
Dean of the School of Law
Professor of Law
Mark Yates is Professor of Law and Dean of the Law School. During his 20 years at the GGU School of Law, he has served as Director of Academic Support, Director of Bar Services, and Associate Dean of Academic Affairs. Previously, he worked as a civil litigator and as a public defender.
