Frank Menchavez obtained his Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology at Alliant International University (previously known as the California School of Professional Psychology). He also holds a master’s degree, and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Dominican University of California. Dr. Menchavez’s professional experience includes working with a variety of populations in which treatment was focused on short term care including crisis management, early substance use recovery, and acute hospital care. His treatment approach is mostly informed with Cognitive Behavioral applications with influences from Narrative, Solution Focused, and Trauma Focused treatments. He most enjoys working with clients with complicated presentations that challenge his skills as a clinician. Dr. Menchavez currently works in integrated healthcare settings with a specialty in Addiction Medicine. He has taught several different courses at Golden Gate University including PSYCH 320, 321, and 339.
