Overview
Campus Weekend is GGU’s on-campus program for hybrid students. It pairs active learning with a rich array of community programming, meals, events, and student-facing services.
Fall 2026 Dates
Hybrid students are required to attend one full day from four choices across two weekends. Students must register in advance.

Campus Weekend Schedule
Every Campus Weekend day follows the same shape. Academic sessions alternate with community programming, allowing full participation across the day’s events.

Saturday Evening Reception and Event
Open to all registered Campus Weekend students, whether you are attending Saturday or Sunday. All hybrid students are encouraged to attend – Saturday participants are encouraged to stay through the evening and Sunday participants are encouraged to arrive in time for the Saturday evening event.

Who Attends?
Hybrid students
If you are enrolled in any HYB course, attend one day each term. One day covers all of your HYB courses for that term.
Attendance Requirements
The Campus Weekend session is a graded requirement of your hybrid courses, so treat it the way you would treat any required class meeting.
- Students are expected to arrive on time and stay for the entire required portion of the day: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Attendance will be verified through a QR system, which will be captured upon entry and exit. If you arrive late or leave early, there will be a negative academic impact. Please plan accordingly for transportation and related logistics.
- Missing your session lowers your grade in each HYB course you are taking that term. In addition, the university will not be able to certify your attendance.
- If you have a conflict with the session you registered for, switch to another session as soon as possible.
VA and F-1 students should confirm how Campus Weekend fits their residency requirements on the learning modalities page, or with their VA advisor or DSO.
Location and Logistics
Campus Weekend is held at GGU’s Lake Merced campus. All times are Pacific Time.
Getting here

From San Francisco International Airport (SFO):
- Follow signs to the BART station (located in Garage G of the AirTrain system).
- Take any BART line to Daly City BART Station. Most direct: Yellow Line or Red Line.
- Exit the station and transfer to one of three Muni bus routes:
- Route 28 (19th Avenue): Runs 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily
- Route 28R (19th Avenue Rapid): Runs 5 a.m. to 12 a.m. daily
- Route 29: Connects to campus
- Exit at 19th Avenue and Holloway Avenue, near campus.
Travel time: Approximately 30–40 minutes
Fare: BART covers SFO to Daly City; Muni bus fare applies for final leg. Clipper Card holders transferring from BART at Daly City receive a free transfer.
What to bring
- Your GGU ID, QR code from registration, and a laptop. Meals are provided.
Accessibility and accommodations
- Accommodation requests must be submitted to, and evaluated by, the Office of Accessible Education in advance.

One day. Register for either the Saturday or the Sunday of one weekend. That single day satisfies the on-campus requirement for all of your HYB courses that term.
No. One day per term covers all of your HYB courses, however many you are taking.
Due to capacity constraints, students are asked to register for only one day per term.

Though attendance is optional, we encourage you to join the Saturday evening reception, which is open to students registered for either day.
Due to capacity constraints, guests are not permitted to attend GGU-specific programming. However, guests and visitors are generally allowed on the Lake Merced campus, as long as they abide by the relevant policies for each area.
Currently, these sessions are only available to Hybrid students due to capacity restrictions.
Your grade is reduced in each HYB course you are taking that term. If you have a conflict, switch weekends before the change deadline or contact your academic advisor.
Note: If you do not attend, the university will not be able to certify your attendance.
