Don Rath is a CPA in California. He spent the first ten years of his professional career in the tax practice of EY before becoming the senior tax executive of four public companies. His principal experience is in corporate tax, international tax planning, and income tax accounting. Don has been a member of the GGU faculty since 2018. He also serves on the accounting faculty of Santa Clara University.

Don holds a BA in Sociology from Yale University, an MBA from Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley, an MS in Taxation from Golden Gate University, and an MFA in Creative Writing from Queens University of Charlotte.

In addition to teaching, Don is a published fiction writer and a nonprofit board member.
