Teresa VirgenTorres joined the Golden State Warriors in 2019 and currently serves as the company’s Vice President of People and Labor Relations. In this role, she leads the team responsible for managing several areas, including employee relations, labor relations, and benefits. In addition, Teresa serves as the Executive Sponsor of Fuerza en Números (Strength in Numbers), the Warriors’ Latino Employee Resource Group. With over fifteen years of human resources and labor relations experience, Teresa has spent time in both public and non-profit sectors and is well-versed in collective bargaining and managing employee performance. Teresa’s experience includes representing the employee and employer in union negotiations, employee matters and administrative proceedings.

Teresa holds an Executive Master of Public Administration from Golden Gate University, a Bachelor of Arts in Community Studies from the University of California at Santa Cruz, an Executive Certificate in Human Resources Management from California State University, East Bay, and she is a Certificate Holder from the Association of Workplace Investigations. In 2021, she was awarded the GetFive Hero of the Year Award in the category of Compassion in Employee Relations. In 2025, she was recognized by HR.com in the HR Leader of the Year category, and awarded third place.

Teresa resides in the Bay Area with her husband, Juan, two children, Mia and Marco and numerous pets (currently one black lab, four rescue kittens, 10 egg-laying chickens and three roosters).
