I graduated from Golden Gate University in 2009 with a Master of Accountancy degree. I worked for several years as an Accounting Manager and Assistant Controller. Then in 2013, I enrolled in the Doctoral program (DBA) at GGU and finished my degree with a dissertation focusing on Effective Management in Accounting Departments: A Comparison of a Public and Private Organization. I completed my Doctoral Degree in December 2021. I was awarded the 2018 Outstanding Adjunct Faculty for the Undergraduate School of Accounting department.

I have taught and am teaching, Accounting 300 (Accounting Research and Communication), Accounting 1A (Introductory Financial Accounting), Accounting 1B (Introductory Managerial Accounting-Asset Management) and Auditing (310) at GGU. After working for private-sector corporations for several years, I have spent the past six years working as a Principal Financial Analyst in the Treasury/Accounting Department of BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit). I also work as a Financial & HR consultant for a small nonprofit organization.
