Introduces the nature and analysis of data and phenomena that impact the national economy. Special focus on the problems of inflation, recession, unemployment, international trade and financial system instability. (ECON 1 & ECON 2 need not be taken in sequence and can be taken simultaneously.) Prerequisite: MATH 20 or MATH 50.
