Advanced Theories of Counseling and Personality

This course provides a critical examination of major theories of counseling and personality from psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, systemic, and integrative perspectives. Students will analyze these frameworks through historical, cultural, and empirical lenses, and generate original theoretical integrations suitable for research and academic dissemination. Emphasis is placed on the application of theory in non-clinical contexts such as education, program development, and consultation. Prerequisite(s): PSYCH 870.
