Vera Klimkovsky is a Senior Adjunct Professor of Statistics at the Edward S. Ageno School of Business, Golden Gate University. With 25 years of experience teaching Data Analysis, Statistics, Business Analytics, and Mathematics, she has mentored students across diverse disciplines. She has also taught Levels 1 and 2 of the quantitative sections of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) exam preparation workshop at GGU. In 2024, Vera was honored with the Certificate of Recognition as Outstanding Adjunct Professor for the MSBA program at the Edward S. Ageno School of Business.
Vera holds a B.S. in Applied Mathematics and an M.A. in Mathematics. She also completed training at UC Berkeley’s Department of Public Health, where her research focused on simulation studies and the implementation of multiple hypothesis testing procedures.
Beyond academia, Vera has been a prominent leader in the data science community. As Chair of Marketing and Publicity for the Association for Computing Machinery’s San Francisco Bay Area chapter (SF Bay ACM), she played a key role in organizing annual Data Science conferences and Data Science Special Interest Group (DSSIG) meetings.
Passionate about Applied Statistics and Data Science, Vera is dedicated to equipping students with the analytical skills and industry-relevant knowledge needed to excel in their careers. She strives to bridge theory and practice, ensuring students can confidently apply statistical methods and data-driven decision-making in the workplace.
