Robert Shoffner is the Executive Director, Ageno School of Business, Director of MBA Programs, and Professor of Practice at Golden Gate University. He is responsible for the management of all degree and certificate programs in the school. He is responsible for the design, delivery and staffing of all MBA programs on both a domestic and international basis. Robert also oversees management of the Chevron Small Business and Entrepreneurship program at Golden Gate University.

From 2014 – 2018 Robert was Director of the San Mateo County Small Business Development Center. In this role he managed a team of advisors to deliver services to small businesses and entrepreneurs in San Mateo County.

From 1992 until 2013 Robert worked for Citibank, N.A. During his tenure with Citibank, He held several senior leadership/management roles with the bank. The roles included Managing Director / Senior Vice President of Business Banking for the San Jose Region of the Metro North Division, Division Manager Marketplace/Product Manager for Commercial Banking in the Western Division covering the markets of California, Nevada, Illinois, Florida and Washington D.C. and President for Citibank in California and Nevada where He was responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Citibank’s $100MM consumer businesses in the West Coast region that included a staff of 3,000. Robert also had several international assignments in the markets of Abu Dhabi, Argentina and Taiwan where he served as a business advisor to for integration and development of a business banking proposition for the marketplace as the result of an acquisition.

A native of St. Paul, Minnesota, Robert attended Brown University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in American Civilization. He also has a MBA degree from Golden Gate University. He also holds a certificate in Community Economic Development from National University.
