Elaine Clark

Elaine Clark brings more than 20 years of financial and administrative leadership experience, including over 15 years serving as CFO for both for-profit and nonprofit organizations. She has held senior roles in public and private companies, including global Fortune 200 firms, across the technology, biotech, and pharmaceutical sectors. Her background also includes service on nonprofit boards and CFO leadership positions in education and social service institutions.
Elaine’s career reflects deep financial acumen, strong governance experience, and a proven ability to build high-performing teams. Her accomplishments include leading global mergers and acquisitions; implementing enterprise-wide ERP systems; and managing more than $800 million in real estate transactions, construction projects, and capital investments. She has also been a key leader in launching innovative and collaborative initiatives such as online academic programs and new joint enrollment and student housing partnerships with UC Berkeley and other universities, both domestic and international.
At Golden Gate University, Elaine oversees the Finance and Accounting teams and leads several mission-critical operational units, including Information Technology Services, Financial Aid and Student Accounts, Human Resources, and Business Services and Facilities.
Elaine earned her MBA, with Beta Gamma Sigma distinction, from the University of California, Irvine. She also holds a master’s degree in Finance and Accounting and a bachelor’s degree in International Business Management from the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing, China.
