Dr. Shawn Chen is Founder and Chairman of the Board of Sias University (Henan, China), a privately-run institution he established in 1998 that combines Western liberal-arts teaching in an English/Chinese bilingual environment. The university has grown to serve tens of thousands of students.

Dr. Chen currently serves as President of the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) and President of the International Association of University Presidents (IAUP). Dr. Chen also co-founded Plug and Play China, establishing incubation centers across Beijing, Shanghai, Xi’an, Zhengzhou, and other major cities. His business ventures have included hospitality and manufacturing.
