CRTH 10
Critical Thinking
3 Unit(s)
This course develops critical thinking, reflective judgement and problem solving abilities by integrating the study of argument, reasoning, and problem solving with the disciplined use of artificial intelligence. Students learn to frame complex problems, identify assumptions, construct and analyze arguments, and evaluate the grounds for judgment and decision-making.
Students will use AI to expand, challenge, and refine their thinking while maintaining responsibility for their judgments. By the end of the course students will be able to apply core concepts of argument and problem solving, critically evaluate AI-assisted reasoning, recognize and treat cognitive bias, and use AI tools responsibly to support thoughtful, well-defended judgments and decisions.
