This course takes the complexity of asylum law practice with intentional field experience in advocacy to teach students how to draft an asylum brief for immigration court. This course will also teach the basics of court appearances and legal argumentation for real-world practice. Students will learn how to use the theory of Rebellious Lawyering in community advocacy for survivors of trauma and persecution, as well as receive feedback that will help to boost confidence in courtroom advocacy.
