Anthony deLeon is a senior adjunct professor in marketing, and has taught courses in marketing strategy and marketing management in the MBA and executive education programs. He completed his doctorate in business administration (DBA) with highest honors at GGU. His dissertation proposal was awarded first place in the 2007 Services Marketing Dissertation Proposal Competition sponsored by the American Marketing Association and Ohio State’s Fisher College of Business. An article version of his doctoral research was published in the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science (May 2017).
He was also a management consultant with two major firms for 18 years, during which he advised executives in over 50 corporations on new product concepts and go-to-market strategies, organization development, and various IT management issues.
As a partner with Accenture, he led strategy assignments for clients in financial services and ecommerce. His marketing experience includes customer relationship management work, new product development assistance for B2B payments, retail payments product management, new venture strategy, and the management of marketing alliances with IT solution providers. He also managed supply chain and financial market offerings for the western U.S. and was the global marketing lead for several B2B offerings. He also served as client relationship partner for various clients in Northern California.
Prior to Accenture, he was a principal with Booz-Allen & Hamilton, where he led engagements in North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific addressing operations and IT management issues for financial services, transportation, energy, and high technology clients.
Before completing his DBA, Anthony earned his MBA degree with distinction in finance and operations management from the Penn’s Wharton School, and his AB degree summa cum laude in applied mathematics from Harvard. He was awarded membership in the Phi Beta Kappa and Beta Gamma Sigma honor societies.
