Carol Deas-Lopez, PsyD, currently works in private practice with adults, couples, families, and groups. She utilizes an integrative therapeutic approach and conceptualizes from Psychodynamic and Family Systems lenses. She has expertise in Substance Use Disorders and the impact on the family. She has worked in small, medium, and large healthcare systems, including community mental health, intensive outpatient and inpatient mental health programs, substance rehabilitation programs, and Home-Based Primary Care at the VA.

Dr. Carol earned certifications in Addiction Studies & Counseling at Diablo Valley College, a Bachelors in Psychology with a Concentration in Substance Abuse, a Masters in Clinical Psychology, and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. She is a longtime advocate for women’s issues, veterans’ issues, the student debt crisis, and mental health care in California.
