At Golden Gate University, our goal is to empower you to make informed financial decisions about your education. That’s why we have developed an overview of the estimated direct and indirect costs of attending GGU to help you gain a better understanding of the overall cost of earning your degree.

The direct costs of attendance include tuition and fees, all of which are set by the university. The indirect costs of attendance will vary based on personal needs, and may include factors such as books and supplies, housing, transportation, and other personal expenses. The total cost of attendance is also dependent on whether you are enrolling as an undergraduate, graduate, or law student.

The rates published on this page usually remain in effect for at least one academic year. The university reserves the right, however, to adjust the rates for tuition and fees prior to the beginning of each trimester term.

Program, course, and section fees may be assessed based on academic curricular requirements. These fees are charged in addition to tuition. Students should refer to the course schedule for more information.

Graduate Students

  • Ageno School of Business – $1,090 per unit
  • School of Accounting – $1,090 per unit
  • Braden School of Taxation – $1,250 per unit

Other Rates:

  • Active-Duty Tuition Assistance – $475 per unit (except Law, EMBA, and DBA programs)

Special Degree Program Rates:

  • Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) – $75,000 for program
  • Doctor of Business Administration (DBA)* – $1,175 per unit
    • * Program closed to new applicants
  • CPA Applied Accounting Graduate Certificate – $545 per unit (300-level courses only)

Law Students

  • JD Tuition – $1,750 per unit
  • MLS Tuition – $660 per unit
  • LLM Tuition – $1,860 per unit*
  • SJD Tuition – $21,800 per residency term (Note: students must complete two residency terms during the first year of the program.) $1,000 per candidacy term
  • J-1 Visa Visiting Scholar – $5,000 per semester (fees included)

*Auditors are assessed 2/3 of the applicable tuition rate.
