Affordable Education
for Every Learner
As a nonprofit university, our goal is to help all students afford a GGU education by offering generous financial aid to those who qualify. More than half of all GGU students receive financial aid through grants, scholarships, and federal aid. In addition, GGU is among the top 15 percent of universities nationwide that provide tuition benefits for qualifying veterans.
At GGU, our affordable tuition and generous financial aid packages set us apart from other universities. When you are accepted to a GGU program, our team of financial aid counselors can help you explore your options and create customized financial plans that fit your unique situation.

Scholarships & Grants
Scholarships and grants are both types of financial aid that you will not need to repay. GGU offers more than 30 different scholarships and grants to both domestic and international students who qualify. We can help you explore all the grants and scholarship opportunities you may be eligible for in order to maximize this type of aid.
Federal Financial Aid
Federal student loans are a type of need-based aid that must be repaid. These loans are offered by the US Department of Education to US citizens (and eligible non-citizens). To determine your eligibility, you will need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Our team can help answer any questions you have about applying for federal financial aid.
Military & Veteran Benefits
Golden Gate University is a proud member of the Yellow Ribbon Program, and we are among the top 15% of universities nationwide who have committed to a large dollar grant for our country’s veterans. If you are a military or veteran student, we can help you navigate the benefits available to you.
Other Funding Options
Some students may be able to take advantage of additional funding opportunities, such as Federal Work-Study, Employer Tuition Assistance, International Student Aid, and more. Our dedicated team of financial aid counselors can help you determine if you qualify for any of these funding options.
