Trauma, Adversity, and Resilience in Applied Psychology

This course examines how traumatic experience and sustained environmental stressors affect psychological functioning across individuals, families, and communities. Students will evaluate trauma theory, resilience research, and ecological models of recovery, then design and assess interventions for non-clinical settings such as education, public and nonprofit programming, and community organizations.
