This course examines the transformative and innovative impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on manufacturing and goods-producing industries, within the broader context of Industry 4.0. As manufacturers face increasing pressure to enhance productivity, agility, and sustainability, AI technologies-ranging from machine learning and computer vision to digital twins and predictive maintenance-are playing a critical role in driving end-to-end innovation across the value chain. Students will explore how AI is revolutionizing core industrial functions, including supply chain management, quality control, equipment monitoring, production planning, logistics, and product design. Prerequisite(s): MSAI 300, MSAI 301, and MSAI 305.
