Golden Gate University (GGU) is proud to celebrate its five-year partnership with Genesys Works Bay Area (GWBA), which has empowered countless high school seniors from underserved communities with the skills, training, and career pathways necessary for long-term success. This longstanding collaboration has been instrumental in providing students with the opportunity to engage in a college-level data analytics course during their summer program—an initiative that bridges the gap between high school education and college readiness.
We are also excited to congratulate GGU alum, Nada Perrone, on her appointment as the new Executive Director of Genesys Works Bay Area. Perrone, who earned her Master of Public Administration from GGU, brings years of leadership experience and a passion for community empowerment to her new role. Perrone expressed her enthusiasm for the partnership, stating:
“During my time at Golden Gate University, I gained the skills and knowledge that now enable me to give back to my community,” said Perrone. “I am thrilled that Genesys Works Bay Area partners with GGU to provide our students with access to a college-level class in data analytics. This collaboration is just one example of how we’re opening doors to higher education and career opportunities for young people in the Bay Area.”
GGU’s partnership with GWBA has been a powerful force for change. Genesys Works offers students the chance to take a hands-on approach to learning while connecting them to paid internships, technical training, and career coaching. The opportunity to earn college credit through GGU’s data analytics course has become a hallmark of the program, providing students with a valuable foundation for both their academic and professional futures.
“We are incredibly proud of Nada’s appointment and thrilled that she will continue to lead and expand the impact of Genesys Works Bay Area. Her leadership, combined with her strong ties to the Bay Area community, will only strengthen our partnership,” said GGU Acting President Bruce Magid. “Nada’s personal experience as a GGU alum and her commitment to community engagement perfectly align with GGU’s mission to make higher education accessible and impactful for all students.”
As an institution that has long been dedicated to serving nontraditional and working adult learners, GGU is proud to support programs like Genesys Works Bay Area that equip the next generation with the tools they need to succeed. This partnership exemplifies GGU’s commitment to community engagement, career advancement, and lifelong learning.
We look forward to continuing our collaboration with Genesys Works Bay Area and supporting their mission to help students achieve college and career success, all while fostering economic mobility and opportunity.
