Jason Brooks

President

Jason Brooks serves as President of the Student Veterans of America at Golden Gate University (GGU), where he is pursuing an MBA in Information Technology Management. A U.S. Navy veteran and accomplished cybersecurity leader and consultant, Jason holds industry-leading certifications including CISSP, CISA, CISM, AWS Solutions Architect, and CEH, demonstrating expertise in cloud security, risk management, and digital forensics.

Jason is passionate about fostering a supportive environment for veterans at GGU. He is actively involved in professional communities, including Toastmasters, where he has developed strong public speaking and leadership skills, and serves as a mentor through the BIC Mentorship Program. Driven by a commitment to service and collaboration, Jason is dedicated to providing resources, networking, and personal development opportunities for student veterans, helping them transition and succeed both academically and professionally.

Komi Adomayakpor

Vice President of Finance

Komi Adomayakpor is an experienced systems administrator and customer relations professional with a strong foundation in IT and process optimization. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Software Development and Database Design and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Information Systems Management at Golden Gate University. Throughout his career, he has focused on leveraging technology to enhance organizational efficiency while fostering trusted relationships across teams and stakeholders. With a passion for aligning systems, finance, and strategic objectives, Komi brings a unique combination of technical expertise and people-centered leadership to his role as Vice President of Finance for the Student Veterans of America chapter at Golden Gate University.

Tania Mora

Vice President of Communications and Marketing

Tania Mora is an entrepreneur at Intelligent Futures – A community hub and resource-intensive educational media platform that explores the ethics of our current systems, who is making the decisions and why, and how technology is shaping the systems that shape our lives. As a professional, she has a career spanning the service industry, to military service, to a top consulting firm within the tech field, as well as a degree from UC Berkeley and an MBA in progress at GGU where she is currently supporting the SVA as the Vice President of Communications and Marketing for the school year 2025-2026.

We’re growing and looking for dedicated individuals to join our leadership team! Serving as a chapter leader is a rewarding opportunity to develop your skills, make an impact, and support the success of veteran students at GGU.

Available Positions:

  1. Vice President of Programs and Member Development
    • Responsibilities: All facets of chapter programming and ensuring all members have a clear path toward leadership positions, if desired. This role involves creating events and services that align with the chapter’s mission and appeal to members.
    • Ideal Candidate: Someone with strong organizational skills and a passion for creating memorable experiences.
  2. Vice President of Fundraising
    • Responsibilities: Managing all incoming and outgoing chapter funds and leading fundraising efforts. This role is crucial for securing the resources needed to support chapter initiatives.
    • Ideal Candidate: Someone with excellent communication skills and a knack for networking.
  3. Vice President of Recruitment and Member Engagement
    • Responsibilities: Recruiting new members and encouraging their active participation in chapter events, meetings, and initiatives. This role is essential for the chapter’s growth and success.
    • Ideal Candidate: Someone enthusiastic about connecting with others and growing our chapter.
