Willie L. Britt is the Associate Director of the Master of Public Administration Program. Dr. Willie L. Britt earned his Doctorate of Public Administration degree from Golden Gate University in 2006. He was recognized in 2007 with the Outstanding Graduate Student Award Doctor of Public Administration in 2007. He joined GGU’s Public Administration Department as an Adjunct Professor in 2007 and then Senior Adjunct Professor in 2012. He was later recognized as a Distinguished Adjunct Professor. Dr. Britt currently serves as the Associate Director of the Master of Public Administration Program in the Edward S. Ageno School of Business. He also co-taught courses in the Doctorate of Business Administration Program at Golden Gate University. He has served in various capacities to students completing their doctorate degrees.
Dr. Britt has public, private, and nonprofit experiences. He has both domestic and international experiences. He worked in the U.S. Department of Treasury, Bureau of the Mint, U.S. Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and the San Francisco Housing Authority. Dr. Britt worked on an International City/County Management (ICMA) and USAID project in the Philippines. Dr. Britt has done presentations in the Philippines and to visiting delegations from China. He previously served as the Vice President and now the President of the Pilipino Senior Resource Center (PSRC) in San Francisco. Dr. Britt retired from the United States Army Reserves as a Lieutenant Colonel. He is married and has two sons. Dr. Britt considers himself a lifelong student of learning and emphasizes that history should be analyzed in aggregates, not just anecdotes.
