PSYCH 390
Applied I-O Psychology Capstone
3 Unit(s)
The capstone is the integrative culmination of the program. Working from a single organizational problem – drawn from the student’s own workplace or, where unavailable, from a designated case – students produce a sequence of professional deliverables that bring the full arc of the degree to bear on one situation: a diagnostic assessment, a data-informed analysis, an intervention design, an implementation and change plan, and a reflective synthesis. The course teaches no new content; it is the layer in which assessment, organizational development, research methods, consulting practice, and applied AI converge on a single problem and a single decision. A required, critically evaluated AI component runs throughout: students employ AI tools in their analysis and assess both their utility and their effect on the human system under study. Students exit with a portfolio artifact suitable for professional use. This course is to be taken in the final term, after completion of all core courses.
