This course develops foundational expertise in financial reporting, financial statement analysis, and data-driven financial decision-making. Students learn to interpret corporate financial statements and evaluate firm performance using accounting and financial metrics.
The course integrates applied financial analytics using real-world stock return data to introduce statistical concepts such as risk, return, probability distributions, correlation, and simple regression. Students will use Excel to analyze financial and market data, visualize trends, and build basic analytical models.
AI tools are incorporated to enhance interpretation and insight generation, while maintaining a strong emphasis on fundamental understanding.
