SAN FRANCISCO — Golden Gate University announced the appointment of Taylor Jantz as Senior Vice President for Operations and Chief Financial Officer, effective August 3, 2026. Jantz has served in the role on an interim basis since April.
In this role, Jantz will oversee the university’s Finance and Accounting teams and lead several mission-critical operational units, including Financial Aid, Human Resources, Information Technology Services, and Business Services and Facilities.
“Taylor has provided steady financial leadership during a period of significant change and growth for the University,” said Brent White, president of Golden Gate University. “He understands how to align resources with strategy as we expand domestically, prepare students for an AI-driven future, and grow our global, multilingual footprint.”
Jantz most recently served as senior vice president for finance, infrastructure, investment, and technology at New York University. In that role, he oversaw one of the largest debt financings in higher education history and led the university’s global infrastructure and operations, including its Tulsa site and broader international network.
Previously, Jantz served as senior vice president and chief financial officer at the University of Florida, where he helped lead a period of financial growth and operational transformation that contributed to record levels of state support. He also spent years as a higher education consultant, advising more than 60 colleges and universities across North America and the Middle East on financial management, long-term planning, operational efficiency, and institutional resilience.
“Golden Gate University is meeting this moment in higher education with a visionary approach to addressing many of the challenges facing our industry,” said Jantz. “The university is willing to think differently about how it delivers on its mission, and that requires a strong financial and operational foundation. I’m excited to make this role permanent and help build an institution positioned for long-term success.”
Jantz holds undergraduate degrees in economics from Creighton University and a master’s degree in higher education administration and policy from Vanderbilt University.
