Dr. Craig D. Wilson

Dr. Craig D. Wilson is Chancellor of the University of South Carolina Palmetto College, where he oversees regional campuses and a portfolio of online and on-campus bachelor’s degree completion programs.
He brings more than 20 years of experience in higher education leadership, with a focus on online education, workforce-aligned programs, and serving working adult learners. Prior to joining the University of South Carolina, he served as Vice Provost for Outreach, Distance and Continuing Education at the University of Arizona, where he led a division serving more than 50,000 learners and helped expand Arizona Online enrollment.
Earlier in his career, Dr. Wilson held leadership roles at the University of Wisconsin–Platteville, the University of Miami, and Miami Dade College.
Dr. Wilson is a U.S. Marine Corps combat veteran. He holds a Ph.D. from Bowling Green State University, a J.D. from Cleveland State University, a master’s degree from Troy University, and a bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University.
