Ethics in Professional and Personal Life

This course examines frameworks for identifying, analyzing, and resolving moral problems in an increasingly technology-driven and data-informed world. Students examine whether ethical decision-making should be guided by law, professional codes, outcomes, character and ways of lifes, cultural norms, religious belief or personal conscience.
The course introduces major ethical theories and practical reasoning tools for evaluating dilemmas across business, technology, and everyday life. Special attention is given to contemporary issues in artificial intelligence, algorithmic decision-making, data privacy, and workplace technologies. Students also examine cognitive bias and behavioral ethics, developing awareness of how judgment can be shaped by psychological, social, and organizational factors.
