Dr. John Zott

John Zott serves as the CFO for a government consulting firm in Washington D.C. Dr. Zott previously ran an equity research firm providing fundamental and behavioral investment research on consumer-oriented stocks for hedge funds.
Before doing investment research, Dr. Zott started Warmboard, Inc. and served as Chief Executive Officer. Dr. Zott previously served as Chief Financial Officer for West Marine, Inc, (formerly WMAR on the NASDAQ) and other private companies for over 25 years. Dr. Zott has been involved in IPO’s, secondary offerings. private equity and venture funded start-ups and have negotiated and closed M&A transactions ranging from one store operations to multi-million-dollar public company mergers. Dr. Zott received his BS in Accounting and an MBA from the University of Detroit Mercy and received his Doctor of Business Administration at Golden Gate University in 2008.
