Benefits & Services for GGU Alumni



There are many advantages to becoming a Golden Gate University Alumni Association member:

Free Membership
Free association membership for any person who holds a degree, diploma or certificate from the university, or who has completed 12 or more units and is not currently enrolled. Complete the Alumni Association Information Form.

Online Alumni Directory
UPDATE: We are pleased to announce that a new and improved searchable online directory and other online services are under development at GGU. We look forward to providing you with better services in the future.

Tuition Scholarship
To promote lifelong learning, GGU offers degree-holding alumni a one-third-off tuition scholarship on one course per trimester (the course cannot count toward a degree or a certificate). Interested alumni must obtain an Alumni Tuition Scholarship Application and return the form to alumni services (instructions are included on the form) for validation prior to applying for the scholarship with the Office of Financial Aid.

Career Services
Alumni career services include resume exchange, career counseling, online job networks and a career resource center. For more information, click on a link below:

University Library
Alumni may apply for an alumni library card, which is free for two years following the date of graduation. After your first two years as a member, there is a $25 to borrow materials for home use, but on-site access remains free. Interested alumni must complete an Alumni Library Privileges Form and present it to the library.

Bank of America/GGU Visa Card
The special Bank of America/GGU Visa card is embossed with the university logo; a percentage of all of your charges goes directly to the GGU Alumni Association. For information, call 800-932-2775 and use reference FAANBI for GGU's special offer, or click here to apply online: GGU Visa Card.

Patelco Credit Union
GGU alumni are eligible for membership in Patelco Credit Union. Patelco offers a variety of financial services at competitive rates (checking and savings accounts, credit cards, loans, etc.). There is a one-time $10 nonrefundable membership fee charged by Patelco. For information, call 800-358-8228.

Geico Auto Insurance
The GEICO Auto Insurance Program offers alumni quality car insurance with complete 24-hour sales, policy and claim services. As a GGU Alumni Association member, you may qualify for an alumni discount, in addition to GEICO's low rates. The discount is available in most states. GradMed Health Insurance
Members of the Alumni Association who are less than 65 years old may be eligible for short-term major medical insurance through GradMed's Alumni Health Insurance Program. GradMed is a convenient health insurance solution for new graduates and other alumni while job-hunting or waiting for new employer benefits to kick in. Club Quarters
