Steps to Apply

Please choose a link from the list below that corresponds to the level of program or certificate you’d like to take.

Important Note: School of Law programs will take you through a secure application process outside of this Golden Gate University website.

Step One: Create an Account

If you would like to apply for any of Golden Gate University’s standard undergraduate or graduate programs, the first thing you’ll need to do is create an admissions account. The process is quick and you will only need to do this step the first time you visit. This is how Golden Gate University will send you communications about your application and update you on your status.

Important Note: Step one only applies to standard GGU undergraduate and graduate programs. If you are applying for a program in the School of Law (other than the MLS or MBA/JD program), you may skip directly to step 2.

Step Three: Start Your Application

This is a good time to make sure you have collected all the documents required to complete your application.

To get started you’ll need:

  • A Resume or CV
  • Unofficial transcripts from all previously attended institutions (official transcripts will be required after admission)

Some of our degree programs may have additional application requirements. We encourage you to get in touch with an Enrollment Advisor. They are happy to help you though the application process and answer any questions you have along the way.

Step Four: Submit Your Application

Once your application is complete and you’ve filled out the required fields we recommend reviewing your application for accuracy. If you have a printer, print out a copy for your records.

Depending on the program of interest you may be asked to pay an application fee.

Note to Veterans: All programs at GGU are currently at or nearing enrollment capacity for students who intend to use military benefits. We encourage you to inquire at more than one college or university to maximize your opportunities to enroll in the program that suits you. GGU may not certify any veteran’s enrollment unless they have been admitted to a degree or certificate program. Open enrollment status is not considered formally admitted to Golden Gate University.
